ArtShow: Media Slide Lecture Tool, Presentation, and Quiz App

ArtShow is an iPad app for presenting interactive slideshows: zooming in on images, showing movies, browsing the web, and drawing over the slide being displayed – along with a timed mode for visual quizzes.

When images or movies are the subject of the lecture, a standard slide presentation is not enough to allow the lecturer or viewer to fully explore the topic being covered. ArtShow allows you to create, share, and show – on an iPad or connected external screen – an ordered set of slides containing text, images, movies, and web pages. During presentation the lecturer can spontaneously zoom in on an image to focus on particular areas, show movies, or browse the web. With ArtShow, these details do not have to be meticulously worked out ahead of time. Images may be presented full screen and images and slides may be interactively annotated using the ArtShow GlassBoard. ArtShow also has a timed presentation option designed to allow for slide-based timed quizzes: showing each slide for a set time, with an optional visual and audible warning before moving to the next slide.

Requirements

ArtShow is developed for the iPad and iOS 6 or later. Presentations can be made using only the screen of the iPad; iPad VGA or AV Adapters (not included) may be used to connect the iPad to an external display or projector.

No iPhone version is planned, but future releases may include the ability to make presentations of ArtShow SlideShows created on an iPad and shared with the iPhone.
